Hi
Recently I have implemented active directory in a single domain environment. DNS is AD integrated. Windows 2008 R2 is the os. Everything looks ok except the browsing domain computers from Network neighborhood/ my network place.
Clients are windows xp pro. When a user tries to browse computers from my network place and double click on the ABCD domain, it gives the following error”
“ABCD is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available. “
DNS is working ok, all computers have A records and PTR record in the DNS. Network discovery is enabled on the DC1.
I used browstat status command on a client machine, and it says that “Browsing is not active on domain. Master browser is held by another computer.”
I looked at the computer browser service in DC1 which is 2008 R2 machine and it is disabled by default.
So how do I fix this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
