Hello everyone! I have a computer that I need to setup. I have already added the computer onto the domain, but now I want to connect to the network server so that I can get into the server files and folders. In our company we have Windows Server 2008 R2. And the computer that I am setting up is Windows 7 Pro.
Usually what I do is go to the System Properties window and click on the Network ID button to join a Domain or Workgroup. This way I will be able to go into the network server without having to entering in my username and password credentials (The windows security prompt window) and checking the box "Remember my credentials".
Or is it better to double click onto the network server and be prompt and asked for username and password and check the box "Remember my credentials"? This way I would be able to go into the server and see the files and folders.
Which way is better?
Which one would take more resource from the server?
