We just received new PC components for one of our steel cutting machines and the vendor said to keep it as "agnostic" as possible...meaning, NO ANTI-VIRUS, NO UPDATES of any kind, no changes, NO WINDOWS FIREWALL...keep it as it was on day one...so, suffice to say, I made an image of the machine before it was put into use.
Now, I know I can block browsing by setting the proxy to 127.0.0.1 and I've turned off Windows Update. We've not installed any adobe or java applets. I'd like to lock this down more to just network access, remote desktop access and teamviewer for the vendor...any suggestions?
The machine is Windows 7 32 bit and the vendor is Controlled Automation. Our main firewall is ENDIAN COMMUNITY 2.5.1
