Hi SpiceHeads! We are talking with NetClarity and they are considering building a plug-in for the Spiceworks Community that uses the NetClarity blocking technology. A little bit about NetClarity: they offer plug-‘n-play Network Access Control (NAC) solutions in the market today. They are able to do this by their 100% agentless blocking technology that streams low-bandwidth blocking traffic towards devices that you do not want accessing your network. It’s simple, but more importantly, it works.
My question for you is this: for those of you who use the Spiceworks network/inventory management application, would a feature that allows you to BLOCK unknown or untrusted devices from gaining access to your network be beneficial to you? For instance, after running a network scan to see all devices attacked the network, being able to right-click and BLOCK that access from connecting.
Please let me know if this is something that would be useful to your company! I look forward to hearing from you.
