Friday. Dead Server. No Coffee. No One Noticed Yet. Run for it...?

The panic is starting to creep up on me as I go over everything in my head... I have a network of four servers, two of which are DCs. These are my charges:

LAND - Dell PowerEdge 2600 4x Intel Xeon 1.80 GHz - Domain Controller, Windows 2000 Server SP 4.0. Other than DC it's where the .pst files are stored for email and basically acts as a really big junk drawer. It's ancient, never had a problem, certainly owes us nothing.

WATER - Dell PowerEdge 4600, 4x Xeon 2.8GHz, vintage 2004, Windows Server 2003 SP 2. Used to be our webserver, hosted SharePoint 2003, ArcGIS, SQL 2005 and Bamboo. SharePoint was migrated off of it last year. It sits and does nothing right now, but considering making it my new DC number 2.\

VALLEY: Dell PowerEdge 1900, Windows SBS 2003 SP 25 - QuickBooks Server, Simply Accounting Server, Domain Controller, Print and File Server. Deader than dreams as of 3 hours ago. I suspected it, warned of this, and it has finally happened. Long history of hardware issues with this server I don't know why we even had it in service.

MACKENZIE: The new guy. HP ProLiant ML350, purchased last year to move the SharePoint onto. Upgraded it to SharePoint 2010, SQL Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 R2. It has a large file share on it and is to be the home for the accounting stuff from the dead server.

My question is... AAAAH! WHAT DO I DO?!?! I'm cowering at my desk, praying my backups are sound and I got everything. I had a feeling... details later but I got Valley to run better than it ever had yesterday after a barrage of power outages and dips. Then three hours ago it just lost all power and became completely unresponsive.

Since I had a bad feeling, I made sure that the other DC could handle it if Valley was saying goodbye to me, and honestly I can't remember all of what I did I'll have to look at my notes but it appears I did it right; there is no interruption in internet or intranet access for my users or the public face of our SharePoint sites. *nervous laugh* Now I'm lost...

My network is limping along... it's such a horrid mess I inherited here. I could use some guidance and suggestions how to set this up, what to do about my need for a second DC... I do have some extra PCs kicking around not in use.

Virtualization is probably not an option: the one reliable server not on its last legs is Mack, and it's pretty taxed with the SharePoint and SQL (and soon to be QuickBooks and Simply... maybe...)

*pulls her hair* Ahh! I never lost one before... damn does it ever suck not having any other IT staff around here.
