shielded Cat6 on small mobile network

I am the general computer flunky for our Charitable Horse Club. We recently installed a small network (3 laptops, laser printer and timer) to run our show database and timer interface. I am using a 1-Gig AUSU Broadband router (no internet access). I have two electricians on the board. They suggested I use "shielded cat6" cables. Their reasoning was that we wouldn't have to worry about the cables being straight in order to not cause interference. We setup and tear down for every show. We have a 150 ft cable permanently install over head in the indoor arena. We have a 25 ft cable that we put and take down in the Entry booth at the outdoor arena. The 25ft cable failed on me the second time I used it. I have been doing a lot of research, trying to decide if I need and outdoor shielded Cat6 cable to replace the cable in the entry booth. I noticed a lot of discussion on grounding Cat6 cables. I need help!! Do I replace the shielded Cat6 with an outdoor shielded cat6?, Do I have to have some kind of ground for the Cat6 cables? If so, how do I do that?
