Laptop secure Wireless issue

I had a user bring their laptop in because they all of a sudden could not connect to their home wireless. I tried it on our wireless in the office and sure enough it will not connect. It sees the available networks and attempts to connect but gets stuck in a loop of connecting, identitifying, limited access, disconnected.

I have a Verizon Mifi device so I decided to give that a try. I had it unsecured at the time. It connected right up. I then secured it, made sure there was no saved network and attempted to connect the user's laptop. It prompts for the key but will not connect. It does not do the loop like our office network though.

I've completely uninstalled the wireless driver and installed the latest one from the manufacturer's website. I'm not sure what else to try.

Computer:

Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E420

Windows 7 Pro 64bit
