Hi Guys,

My name is Michael and im new to the spiceworks community!

I found Spiceworks by pure luck and i must say im really impressed with all the features and support. wish more things in life where aimed at helpling people instead of making profit...

Anyway on to my question ;-)

So im configuring my first (non VM) server 2012. On this server i have 2 NIC cards. 1 network card is connected to the internet router and 1 is connected to a swich that connects all the clients.

I want to have the clients to have acces to the internet but i want them to go true my windows server 2012 with a firewall.

At the moment im stuck,

I don't know what info i have to give to my DHCP server. is the default gateway for the clients the server adres or the routers adres? How do i route internet from the one nic to the other while going true a firewall on the server...

I have no clue and could use some help! Thanks a bunch you guys!

Info;

Server adres on nic 1 ; 192.168.0.10 - connected to the router

Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

DNS: 127.0.0.1 / 8.8.8.8

Server adres on nic2: 192.168.0.12 - connected to the switich - clients

Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

DNS: 127.0.0.1 / 8.8.8.8

DHCP server:

Start : 192.168.0.2

End ; 192.168.0.253

Router; 192.168.0.1

DNS servers : 192.168.0.10
