Hi,
Our network is set up in a hub and spoke model with two Cisco Catalyst 6509s acting as cores. One one of the cores I'm seeing a bunch of TCP traffic on the server VLAN hitting all the ports in that VLAN.
For instance I'll see an HTTP request from 10.100.80.11 to 10.100.150.26 while my wireshark laptop is at 10.100.150.220.
This is super strange. I don't have SPAN or any sort of mirroring set up. It happening as well on the other core, though just a tiny bit and I wonder if it's just a bleed-over from the core that's having the problem.
Any ideas? Is there a setting which could create this issue? Does overloading a switch cause this? I think it's slowing down communication on that VLAN. I've opened a TAC case and I'll let you know what they say as well.
Thanks,
Michael
