I have a co-worker who is seeking permission from the owner to be allowed temporary access from her home to our network so she can grab files and work on them. She is a graphic designer so she has a Mac computer at home and we have a full Windows based network here.
I don't need a full on solution of setting up VPN's and VLAN's or whatever, I need a one day temporary (somewhat secure) solution to this problem. We will eventually be setting up the real thing with an actual secure VPN but for today, any thoughts?
I am very hesitant to use something like Logmein or GoToMyPC because if she's simply screen sharing, that's not what she wants to do for one, and two if the connection drops (which we all know happens far too often) I don't want to have to go in and read off a code to her every hour so she can reconnect.
What in the world could I do to let someone, with a Mac computer, access our network from home?
Again, I'm not looking for super complex things here (unless there is no other way).
