Changed ISP, added NIC teaming, what could be causing VPN connection issue?

As the title says: We changed our ISP so we now have a new static IP. I changed all the important values and left our LAN the same. At the same time I introduced NIC teaming with Broadcom BACS software on the 2008 R2 server since I previously was not utilizing this feature (thought if we were increasing internet speed with the new ISP why not use the servers full potential...).

So now when I VPN into the server remotely, the logon to the domain is very slow, and after it actually logs on outlook has intermittent connection drops and then auto reconnects.

I can't change the MTU of the BACS any lower than 1500, I can change the MTU of the router and have done so to no effect.

I am using quickVPN, not sure what else could be causing the issue. The switch is also setup correctly with LAG/LACP enabled on the correct ports.
