weird networking problem with debit machines

Hi guys,

I am out of ideas on this problem been trying to troubleshoot for 2 days.

We have multiple stores using the same network infrastructure (same switches (Cisco 3560), routers, internet connection, dhcp and dns servers) and in one specific store all three debit machines stopped working at the same time. No other network problems all computers working fine. Other debit machiens in other stores working fine.

The problem is the terminals say the network cables are disconnected. However the light on the switch interface is on and interface is up. Only error message on the debit machine is "Other initialization error".

It is not a DHCP or DNS problem because when we connect a laptop in the same switch interface everything works fine. I even tried with a static IP no luck. Tried different interfaces same problem. Replaced network cables same problem. Reloaded the switch again no luck.

So at that point I tought maybe all three machines were defectives. I called the provider they replaced one with a brand new one and same problem.

Any ideas what could cause this problem?

Thanks in advance.
