I have a MetroE to a branch office (3MB) which twice now has flooded our switches back here with garbage and *somehow* brought everything down or to a grinding halt. I've got sotrm control and whatnot enabled, but somehow the traffic cripples our networking equipment, 6224's and 3524's.
Suggestions? My first thought is to just VLAN the whole branch office off (even though its tiny) to prevent anything but routable traffic to pass through the metroE (the switch here can route).
If anyone has a better idea I am open to suggestions.
