We're looking at moving to Office 365 this year and in preparation for that want to set up a redundant internet connection since our day to day work will then be relying on it. We currently have a 25x25 Mb microwave connection which has served us very well, but we're wanting to get a smaller 5x5 Mb or so connection through fiber/Tx/cable as a failover.
We currently have a Watchguard XTM505 firewall which does support multi-wan in a round robin or auto-failover configuration, however my networking contractor thinks we should get a FatPipe. As much as I would love to spend thousands of dollars on a new piece of fancy equipment, will we really gain that much performance/reliability from the FatPipe compared to just sticking with our firewall?
