We currently are having 100's of dropped packets per second and I need to determine if it's a switch or something else.
We currently have 65 HD cameras where the bandwidth for each camera is 3-5mbps. Each camera (after being connected to it's own PoE switch and routed back to the office) eventually goes through a single LC Fiber connection on a switch.
The switch then forwards that single LC port to 3 copper 1Gb connection (each copper is connected to a dedicated server for recording).
The switch is rated at 48Gbps switching capacity and 35.6Mbps forwarding capacity.
Am I overloading the switch since it's a single LC port to 3 coppers?
Apologize in advance for the rudimentary drawing.
