Help with my Hyper-V Failover Cluster Network?

Hi All,

I do a lot of things, but being a network routing expert isn't one of them and I need some help w/how to configure my first Hyper-V Failover Cluster network. Here's my exact setup and what I'm trying to do:

SonicWALL TZ210 w/ports X4 and X5 available

Dell server #1 w/two NICs, hosts several Hyper-V member servers, DC, etc.

Dell server #2 w/four NICs, will host ~55 Hyper-V VDI VMs

Two Dell 5548P switches, plenty of open ports

One Comcast gateway

-----------------------------------------------------------------

I just want to configure a failover cluster and right off the bat the cluster validation report is crying about having multiple NICs on the same subnet and the whole multi-homed server issue. I only want my VM member servers to be able to failover between the two servers and have a clean validation report. I don't need the VDI desktops to failover anywhere.

What would be the simplest setup given the equipment I have? Should I create a separate VLAN for the VM member servers and allow the SonicWALL to route between the two? I currently use the standard 192.168.1.0/24 range. I also do have five public IPs of which I still have two available if that matters.

Any advice at all would be really helpful - thanks in advance.
