I am fairly new to my job and haven't had time to go into depth on why we seem to only be getting 2 Mb download from TWC while maintaining the 10Mb up speed. We are paying for 10/10 and according to the tests that my coworker had a run, at the router it is getting 10/10 but once it gets to the workstations its 2/10. We have single Cisco 3750 in the middle-back part of the building all data connects to, however some of the cat 5/6 runs that connect to it may be at the peak of their limits. Have never quite run into this problem before. My initial instinct is that it is attenuation either by length or by interference by proximity to halogen lights and/or A/C units in the ceiling. Is there anything I should check first before we call in a cabling company to find the problem?
