OSPF redundant routes

I have some redundant routes in my network that I am basically running a large class B layer 2 network.

I would like my redundant routes to be automatic rather than manual as they are now, and would also would like to introduce some routing into the network.

I have been looking at the Mikrotik Cloudcore routers, and wondered if:

1. Are they as good as they claim

2. easy to setup

Also, my knowledge of layer 3 is very limited, and looking for some guidance or training that is NOT cisco specific.
