Recently I created a new website for our library. I've been testing it out as best I can from outside of our building, but a week after its launch I recieved a call about a patron not being able to access the website.
The patron was entering our web address correctly and I asked her to ping it to see if the DNS service was providing the correct IP as well (it was).
I asked them to ping our website and I pinged their external IP and we bot recieved a
"Reply from XXX.XXX.XXX.X : Destination Host Unreachable" 0% Packet Loss.
I had them clear their cache and flush their DNS. Not sure what else to tell these people besides that they need to call comcast. I asked them to run an ipconfig /all test and their DNS was 75.75.75.75. They did mention that they had a second set of LAN data that was blank.
I called people outside of the library and they were able to see the website just fine.
Can you think of anything else I can tell these guys? I believe I may have done all I can.
