Any experience with Riverbed OPNET AppResponse Xpert?

First time poster here, please be gentle...:)

I was asked about this riverbed OPNET AppResponse Xpert product by one of the customer. They are trying to get some application performance monitoring software for some database application server.

I heard riverbed for NETWORK Optimization but never for monitoring. What kinda of experience you guys have with it? Any other alternatives?
