Individual Sites to Head Office VPN

We would like to connect our remote sites via VPN to our Head Office. These sites are small sites with often only about 5 users.

Currently some users connect via a VPN connection on their Windows 7 machines to Head Office thus enabling them to still get Windows updates and connect to resources. But obviously this relies on the user actually initiating that VPN connection.

Is there a way to use the routers in each of these sites to make a VPN connection to the Windows SBS 2008 server at Head Office whilst still allowing each individual machine in the remote sites to get updates via WSUS from the Head Office server? Would the client machines still show up as being connected individually or would we simply see that the router is connected?

I'm sure that this is possible, but it's not immediately obvious to me how it should be done. Most of the routers we use are Draytek routers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
