So we recently got Verizon Fios business setup at our facility here. We have a tendency to use a couple VPN connections for remote offices and remote computers. Lately, we have been experiencing connection drops with people who are coming in from a Brighthouse Networks connection (Tampa, FL).
We recently upgraded to a very powerful firewall device. Not only that, but we have also got 2 Verizon circuits installed so the remote users come in on 1, and office users go out on the other. Those corrected some audio issues with our VoIP phones, but remote users are still struggling.
When I ping from a Brighthouse customer to our Static Verizon IP here, the latency is roughly 80-110 ms. Doesn't matter what speed it is either, 10/1, 30/2, same results every time. But if I ping from Verizon to Verizon, 10-14 ms.
Now I know obviously connecting within the same ISP will be a better connection, but this is a HUGE difference between two local ISPs. I don't even know who to call on this matter. Has anyone else experienced this issue? May even had some kind of solution? We just need a push in the right direction
