Netgear VLAN headache

Hi,

I'm having a spot of bother with a VLAN on my netgear switches. I don't really do much with Netgear normally HP and I can only describe it as odd.

I have a GS748TS connected via fibre to a GS724T. Now on the GS748TS I set up VLAN15 I tagged the port to the wan with VLAN15 and also port 21. I also set port 41 as untagged VLAN15. In port 21 I put a unifi AP and set up an SSID to go onto VLAN15, success the SSID was on VLAN15 and I was receiving the correct DHCP for that VLAN. I then plugged my laptop into port 41 and again success.

Now VLAN15 needed to be setup downstairs on the GS724T switch as that was were the AP was going to be. To cut a long story short it all has to be set up for tomorrow and I could not get access to the GS724T until today.

So today I created VLAN15 on the GS724T and tagged the fibre ports on both switches with VLAN15. I then tagged port 12 on the GS724T and stuck the AP into it and set port 17 to untagged VLAN15. To begin with nothing at all, the AP was not working and I could not get anything on port 17. Very confused as this all worked fine upstairs, I spent hours staring and the config looking for a mistake but I could not see one. I was beginning to fear the worst, but I then noticed that the AP had stated working and was putting all connections onto VLAN15. So all the settings must be OK and the VLAN traffic is happily going over the fibre connection. But still I cannot get a connection from my laptop on an untagged port. And to make matters worse the GUI on the GS724T has crapped out and is no longer functioning.

For piece of mind can some one comment on my settings and they are OK and does anyone have any experience with the GS724T is it a bad switch?
