I have got myself into a tangle. Lagely through ignorance. As we are at the end of the line for our VDSL service we decided to get a second VDSL line an "load balance" the two lines. My research indicated that a Draytek Vigor 3200 will do this.
Once I bought this machine I could not connect it! Draytek support told me I needed to buy two Vigor 120 modems. I did this. Unfortunately I nowe find out that these are not compatible with VDSL. Further research indicated that you can "convert" some netgear routers into "modem only" mode. Unjfortunately not the VDSL Netgear routers I have (DGND3700).
Draytek to not manufacture a VDSL modem (yet). A quick google search and I cant find anyone who does. There are loads of modem/routers out there - I dont want to waste more money.
The question:
Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes VDSL modems OR
A VDSL modem router which can be run in "modem only" mode
Thanks
Richard
