I am looking for a good uptime monitoring solution that only needs to monitor the internet connection itself. Obviously it needs to reside outside the network connection being monitored or it would have no way to send an alert if said internet connection went down.
Using my Google Foo skills I have reviewed a lot of fancy tools that I can setup to do way more than I need.
I simply want to know if the internet is down at Facility X.
