I have a MAC on my network. that is having an issue with the network connection.
this all started after we had the building re-wired.
the cable length for that user according to the switch is 81m
Cable Diagnostics
Port Type Link Status Test Result Cable Length(M)
5 GE Link Up OK 80
The only complaint that i get from the user is they need to reconnect network shares in the morning.
Looking at our switch logs, i see the following:
88 2014-01-02, 05:59:55 INFO(6) Port 5 link up, 100Mbps FULL duplex
87 2014-01-02, 05:59:52 INFO(6) Port 5 link down

and it just continues like that.
so it connects to 1000mb, is good for about 10mn, then drops and tries to connect at 100mb, connnects, then repeats the cycle over and over again.
I have tried to set it manually to 100mb to see if that helps, but so far, ot luck
