Network music player

We have a speaker system in the building. Basically it is connected to a Cat5, and I can connect this to any patch panel, and hook it up from any RJ45 jack in the building.

In the past we had a phone or ipod with a cable that connects 3.5 stereo to a rj45. This works well, but I was wondering whether we could use a network radio, or something like that.

What I mean, is not just something that can play Pandora and music from a network (which I want as well), but that I can control from the network.

Say the network radio IP is 192.168.10.100, and I enter that into the browser, and then I could create a new play list and set it to play. This way I would not have to walk all the way to the other side of the building.
