Remote Desktop Services Latency and Comcast Home Users

We have a Remote Desktop Gateway at our office published through ISA server 2006. Within the last couple months we have been getting increasing complaints from our remote users who have Comcast at home that Remote Desktop coming in through Remote Desktop Gateway has become incredibly slow, basically unusable.

Not all Comcast users are reporting issues, but the number is definitely increasing and is affecting about 25 of our users.

Things we've done so far:

-If the user switches to a different network (such as a Verizon MiFi) the speed is like night and day and it works beautifully. Switch back to their Comcast and it is horribly slow. This tells me there is nothing wrong with either the Remote Desktop Client, their OS, or our Remote Desktop Gateway Server.

-If the user runs a speed test at home on their Comcast connection, their bandwidth is totally normal, plenty for an RDP over https connection.

-I set up a new Remote Services Desktop Gateway using our other ISP thinking this problem might be a peering issue, but it didn't make any difference.

-If I tracert from the user's PC on Comcast to our Remote Desktop Services Gateway I don't see any major hangups. The tracert results are comparable to our non-Comcast users.

-Comcast support told one of our users he had to get Comcast Business at his home to resolve the issue. He got it installed and it made no difference.

-Some Comcast users (such as me) have no speed problems using Remote Desktop Services.

-As a workaround, we have had to set up logmein for some of our users. It works just fine, not slow at all.

Everything is pointing to Comcast as the problem, but we are unable to get anywhere with their support. Remote Desktop Services clients connect to the Remote Desktop Gateway server using SSL, so there's no funky ports involved. In fact, that's the whole reason to use a Remote Desktop Gateway, to avoid being blocked by most firewalls.

Does anyone have any more troubleshooting ideas? We are at our wit's end.

Thanks!
