I am working on a site-wide switch upgrade. When the project is complete I'll need a voice vlan, a management vlan, an a data vlan. I have a watchguard XTM 505 that I had planned to use for handling L3 routing and IP Helper, and then I planned to install the rest as HP Procurve L2 switches. Some information that I've read suggests that all switches be L3 switches be used throughout and that I allow a core switch to handle IP helper. What are your recommendations? This is a small environment - about 120 users, 25 phones, 3 servers. Mostly sql data and office docs traveling over the network.
