Hello guys,
I heard about this software called Wireshark a couple of years ago and initially i thought it might be some game where we have to catch some sharks using wires.. but..umm.. later found out its not what i thought. Anyways being an IT Support guy for an IT solutions provider I often face a lot of support calls for Network in Distress. Somehow i manage to solve all the issues but i just wonder sometimes what help can these tools such as wiresharks, NM and etc... can do for me. I tried installing and capturing packets but had no clue what they meant.
Can you suggest me a starting point from where we can build my network monitoring skills...
If i were to be in a messed up network with multiple DHCP Servers, how can i trace the dhcp servers... ?
