Setting up Site-to-Site VPN for the first time.

The company I work for has 2 offices which are located several states apart. Currently each office has it's own ISP and internet connection. We have a NAS on our end that we'd like to have show up on their network and so someone recommended looking into Site-to-Site VPN to prevent having to deal with the Cisco VPN client which times out every few hours.

I'm confused as I look at the site-to-site section of the manuals because it shows two offices connected to the same "internet cloud" in the diagram. Would that mean if I set this up that our two ISPs would be smashed together somehow and both offices would share this pool of internet? The goal would be for us each to have our own ISP but be able to see printers/NAS on each other's networks.

This sounds so complicated but a lot of offices have this set-up. There's no mandatory plan to do this and if it's too complicated or expensive my boss would be fine without this, but I figured it's worth asking in case it's easier than it looks.
