I'm looking at the possibility of starting a new job here shortly in a surgical center which has to meet HEPA regulations as well as other security requirements and am wondering if there are other users on here that have experience in the medical IT industry can give me some insite into what they do to monitor their network and machines for not just typical problems but security holes, security violations and anything else I'm not thinking of.
I'm also wondering if spiceworks would in any way be a security issue and if it would be better to use Opsview or both in conjunction with each other.
Any information and insite is much appreciated. Being that this company has never had a internal IT person before I want to not just make a good impression but would like to get this network running like clockwork and would like to be notified of any security wholes, violations and basically everything that is going on in what may very well be my network.
