So, my HR guy was joking with me that the CEO wanted to throttle bandwidth on the network this sunday so that everyone in the retail store wouldn't just be streaming the superbowl from whatever computer they were near, and not helping customers. Not sure if the CEO was serious or not, heh, but at any rate it piqued my interest.
I've got a smart HP 2520-24 PoE switch that all traffics *gresses from/to. Curious if there's a good way to set up a monitor this weekend to "see" the spike in bandwidth usage, if there is one.
We have a 100Mbps pipe and only like 20 people will be working that day so I don't think it's a real concern, but I'm curious if this IS a concern for some/many companies out there?
