We are getting ready to put in a Toshiba Edge IP phone system. We have been consulting with another business that has a similar setup. They are using and Addtran 3448 router to handle the QOS, and it is working very well. We have a Fortigate 111C that we can setup the same way. We will be carving our guaranteed bandwidth for the voice. My question is, should we stick with the Fortigate or move to the Addtran? It would seem to me both devices will reserve the bandwidth, and we should just stick with what we know.
