Greetings,
We have a Sonicwall NSA 3500, and would like to set up a couple of remote users to have persistent VPN tunnels.
I'm one of those users. I was going to get something like the TZ-105 without wireless, but my manager said that it's better to get the wireless option, that way you can segment the traffic at home so you don't use the VPN tunnel for just normal home internet browsing, etc. and only for work-related traffic (remote access, etc). He says he has his configured so that the wireless provides general internet for everything that connects to it, and only the wired ports are part of the VPN connection.
Currently I have Frontier DSL, using their Westell modem in bridge mode to connect to a Linksys WRT54GS router, which provides wireless internet access to a couple of PCs and my Android phone. I don't have anything plugged into the LAN ports right now.
I know there are other options besides the Sonicwall devices, but for now I'm looking for quick n easy. Any ideas on what models to look into? And what is the best way to hook it all together? I'd be replacing the Linksys with the Sonicwall device, in the same place, yes?
Thanks,
Mark
