Home network setup

Hi everyone.

I am currently trying to set up my home network.  I have run two drops of Cat5e to each room in the house.  I am lost on where to start to get everything setup.  I have everything running to guest bedroom closet...and punched down to a patch bay.  I bought a Cisco SG-300 an ASUS AC wifi router and a Synology 412+.  My plan is to have certain devices on their own vlans to cut down on network congestion.  I have 4 ip cameras, 4 TIVO dvr's (that use cat-5 to see each other), two desktop computers, network printer, and various wifi devices (iPhone, macbook pro, etc).  How would I go about starting to setup a network config to handle this? I understand the Cisco is a layer 3 switch that can handle routing.  Would I be able to come out my cable modem and into the cisco, then just use my ASUS wifi router as a access point?  Or would it be better to go into the Asus from the modem and then into the Cisco?
