I want to go to 10GBe on our storage and data LAN at our next server refresh.
Our iSCSI switches are HP 2910al's (with a 10Gbe SFP+ module already installed) and our data switches are Juniper 4200's with the 10Gbe SFP+ module already installed.
From what I can see, direct attached copper is the cheapest way to go to get from the storage NIC into the 2910al and from the data NIC into the 4200's, even if it means moving our rack to make the run less than 7m (this appears to be the direct attach copper limit?).
Am I missing anything obvious here?
