So, this is on the nutty side, but here's the sitch... I've got a Linksys SRW2024p switch. It's connected to a Netgear GS748TPS switch using a fiber optic connection LC's to Infineon GBIC SFP's. In the lab environment, I can log into the switch remotely either using Telnet or the web gui, but the moment I put it in the production environment, it becomes completely unresponsive. The weird thing, it passes traffic just fine, upstream and down, but can't even be pinged or seen by Spiceworks. I'm reasonably certain it's environmental, because the same thing happens with the backup SRW2024p in that location. Swapped out the GBIC's, changed the fiber to a different pair. Anyone care to hypothesize? I'm stumped.
