Locking out a remote worker

Is there a way to lock a computer that's off the main network, in other words we want the remote office worker to not be able to log into his work computer that he works from home with.

I would be easy if he was on the network, we would just change his password. but hes at home and just VPNs into the network.

Any Ideas?
