I have a question of best practice of using Spiceworks within a large complex network.
I just started at a new business as IT Sys Admin and have used Spiceworks at other locations so the understanding of the system is OK. My question stems from the fact that I am know at a government location that has live static IP's on all systems throughout the system. I work for one little part but am afraid that if/when I install Spiceworks I will be seeing all the systems within the IP range. Is there a quick and simple way to set just about 20 computers up in a single scan or would I have to add each one individually? At some point we will be migrating departments over to non-routable IP's and so I could just set that gateway up to scan.
Any further explanation or configuration tips so I can get Spiceworks working at my new location would appreciated.
