I'd like to wall mount a standard 19“ wide HP network switch to a plywood wall in a network closet (looks/style do not matter). I don't want to buy the official brackets but would like something cheap and available at the local hardware store. I'd prefer not to build a shelf but would rather mount the switch flush with the wall. Anyone have any success/ideas? I'm considering pegging wood screws around the switch with perforated strapping across but does anyone have any other ideas? I am fully aware this isn't best practice, may void warranty, looks unprofessional, etc etc..
