I have just taken over at a company that uses a lot of terminals instead of PC's that connect to two terminal servers. Some of the terminals have stopped connecting and have had their connections refused. I looked on one of the terminal servers and it seems when the server was set up, only temporary 90 day licenses were used.
I did build a new pc yesterday and connected to this server that way and it issued me a new 90 license. My question really is, how does it verify the workstations, is it done by device name or is it done by MAC address?
We will be buying new licenses in the near future, but if a terminals name was changed, would it then be issued a new 90 day license?
