Currently in the market for a new router and modem for home use. I've been told to not go this route, but I'm wondering why. It seems for the price I can get an all in one device for much cheaper than some of the newer technology devices separate.
I know most of the two-in-ones modem/routers are not he most up to date as far as WiFi goes, but I'm really not that worried about dual band, or the new 802.11ac. If its 802.11n with a usb port, and at least three LAN ports I'm good. Just wondering what the downfall of these devices are, if any.
