I'm very switch and routing illiterate, so bare with me.
I have a 24 Port 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4400 SE / 3C17206. It needs to be replaced with a 48 port switch.
I have a Netgear ProSafe GS748T 48 port switch that I thought I could use since it's new in the box and we had it in stock.
When I pulled the 3Com out, there is a wire in the back, I believe it to be fiber.
I have no idea how I should be taking that fiber, and applying it to the new switch?
Is NetGear able to handle it?
