Apple Devices having a tough time with VLAN changes

We have several VLANs tagged to our wireless network.  Our APs assign each device to the appropriate vlan after finding the device in our NAC servers database.  When a device initially connects to our network, it is put into a "registration" vlan, then after the user enters their info into a captive portal, the AP switches the vlan to the correct "user" vlan.  The windows devices handle this vlan switch very well.  They seem to recognize the switch, and immediate re-negotiate an IP appropriate for the new vlan.  Our apple devices handle the switch horribly.  They either take a long time to recognize the change, or they never do.  Usually turning the wireless off and back on causes it to correct, but not always.  This seems to happen on all apple devices, laptops, ipads, and iphones.  Has anyone else seen this, or have a fix other than cycling the wireless?
