I have a new NetGear ProSafe 48 port switch (GS748T) that needs to replace a 3Com 24 port 4400 SE SuperStack 3 (3C17206) switch. It appears I bought the wrong GBIC connector for this situation and not sure what I need at this point. This is the GBIC connector I got
This is the port in the back of the 3Com that the fiber cable is connected to
Here the fiber cable going into the 3Com.
This the GBIC connector I got. (while inserted to the Netgear)
I saw now way that the fiber cable would insert into the GBIC connector I got. This is not exactly my specialty.
Any suggestions here? Do I just need a different connector for the Netgear?
