Finding out why we're not getting full bandwidth utilization

Hello,

Recently, we purchased a new Comcast Fiber EDI line, 50mbps.  We were going to use this as our line for our VPNs, and some of our webservers, and have our existing FIOS connection used for general internet access and as failover.  Our setup is this:

Site to site VPN from our HQ to our remote site using ASA 5520 endpoints.  We have a Cisco 2800 in front of each endpoint, in a router-on-a-stick configuration.  Through this VPN we copy over our Veeam backups for DR.

However, when copying over the backups, we get about 2-5mbps transfer speed.  When I run a iperf test from HQ to the remote site, it averages 5mbps.  I put my machine on the Comcast line, and speedof.me reports downloads of about 50mbps and uploads of about 5mbps.  Speedtest.net and the comcast speedtest (which I believe is all just Ookla) report 50 up/down, but that is because of the nature of those tests, right?  It appears I'm not getting the 50mbps upload speed, but Comcast reports everything is ok and set correctly on their end.

How can I see if it's possibly something on our network?  Using iperf on our internal network here and in our remote site, we get about 500-800mbps, so I know our internal network can't be the bottleneck except for possibly the router and/or firewall.  All the interfaces are set to full duplex and 1000mbps.  The interfaces for Comcast fiber show 255/255 reliability, 1/255 txload and 1/255 rxload.

EDIT:  It appears all uploads max out at about 5 mbps?  What could be causing this?  I have a transfer going now, going about 3-4mbps, and running speedof.me at the same time gave me a result of 5mbps, while no change in the file transfer speed.  I'm very confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
