Dear All,
Could some one advise me on at least a minimum hardware requirements I should have for the following scenario:
Main server will be running Windows 2012 Datacentre with Hyper-V service, and then have separated VM's running Win 2008 R2: 1x Domain Controller, 1x Exchange 2010, 1x Database Server (FileMaker and MS SQL 2008 Std.)
After the VM's were all setup an running fine I will have two physical spare Servers which one I would turn into another Domain Controller (for backup reasons) only and the other as a File/Print Server.
We currently have approx. 300 users.
Here is a rough system I was checking:
A HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8 with 1x Intel Xeon E5-2690 / 2.9 GHz processor (8-core) and 4x HP 8GB (1x8GB) Dual Rank x4 PC3L-10600R Registered CAS-9 LP Memory Kit, 2x HP Enterprise - hard drive - 146 GB(SAS02) for the Datacentre Server, 6x HP Enterprise - hard drive - 600 GB(SAS-2) for the VM's,2x HP Common Slot Platinum Plus Power Supply Kit, 1x HP NC523SFP 10Gb 2-port Server Adapter.
Any opinions/advice on this, please.
