I've been searching around for this and couldn't find anything so I thought I'd ask the fellow Spiceheads.
I bought this device to feed an AP that will be arriving soon and I need to set it up in my bosses office. I need to run a cable through the ceiling and would like to terminate it at my punch panel. My question is what should this look like? Should it go:
AP - > Punch panel - > PoE Injector - > Switch?
Or does it have to be a straight line from switch - > PoE - > AP?
I would imagine since the power is carried over the same connections as the data that it would matter that a punch panel would be in the way. The max on the PoE is 328 ft. and where I need to put it is maybe half that maybe less.
Thoughts?
I don't think it is any different than having a PoE switch that feeds the connections on a punch panel.
