We have several hotspots that I need to setup a captive portal or splash page on for a public wireless disclaimer. All the hotspots are setup as APs so they get the IP address from one central router. I was initially looking for a replacement router that has this feature but that seems difficult to find. I did come across the GuestGate hotspot gateway which appears to provide a central captive portal for all connected APs. I have never heard of GuestGate so Im not sure about product quality. Has anyone used one of there products before? Or know of any better solution?
I have a Netgear router setup with DD-WRT which does provide the captive portal through Sputnik Express but I dont really like the ads that are displayed on the page. Would prefer it to look somewhat professional.
I also setup a computer with Untangle for the captive portal which works great but having a PC running 24/7 seems impractical for a simple captive portal.
Unfortunately the APs we have are only a month old so replacing them with a different model is out of the question. Really hoping to find a router for a few hundred bucks or less that can provide a simple captive portal for all the connected APs.
